Sustainable manufacturing

Manufacturing
With Purpose.

At SUPERNOVAS, sustainability is woven into every process - from the raw fiber we source to the chemistry we choose and the communities we support. We measure success not only in output, but in impact.

Responsible Manufacturing
at Every Stage

We have embedded environmental accountability into our production blueprint - not as a compliance exercise, but as a competitive advantage and a moral imperative. From fiber selection to final finishing, every process decision is filtered through a sustainability lens.

"Sustainability is not a feature we add to our fabrics - it is the foundation on which every SUPERNOVAS product is built."

SUPERNOVAS Sustainability Charter

Closing the Loop
on Textile Waste

We are transitioning from a linear take-make-dispose model to a circular one. Through partnerships with certified recycling networks and bio-based chemistry suppliers, we are systematically reducing virgin resource consumption while maintaining the performance standards our clients demand.

rPET Yarns Recycled Nylon Bio-Based Finishing

Recycled Fiber Integration

Post-consumer rPET and recycled nylon sourced from certified collection programs, processed into high-tenacity yarn suitable for performance and technical textiles.

Bio-Based Finishing Chemicals

Plant-derived dye carriers, sizing agents, and softeners replacing petroleum-based alternatives - reducing our chemical footprint without compromising functional performance.

Take-Back & Circularity Programs

End-of-life fabric return partnerships with select brand clients - recovered fabric is sorted, shredded, and re-spun into new yarn, diverting textile waste from landfill.

Reducing Footprint at
Every Wet Process Step

Water and chemical management are among the most critical environmental challenges in textile manufacturing. Our facility is engineered with advanced effluent treatment, closed-loop water reuse, and a strictly managed chemical input protocol aligned to ZDHC MRSL standards.

Water Management
Through the Production Chain

01

Low-Water Dyeing Technology

Jet and overflow dyeing machines calibrated for minimum liquor ratio - achieving consistent colour uptake at significantly reduced water consumption per kilogram of fabric.

02

Rinse Cascade & Water Recovery

Counter-current rinsing systems capture and recycle wash water at each stage, significantly reducing total freshwater draw per cycle.

03

Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)

Three-stage treatment - primary settling, biological oxidation, and tertiary membrane filtration - ensures discharge well below GPCB and CETP norms.

04

Chemical Inventory Management

Every chemical input is screened against the ZDHC Manufacturing Restricted Substances List before purchase approval - substitution protocols are mandatory for restricted compounds.

A Clear Roadmap to
Net-Zero Operations

Energy-intensive wet processing is being transformed through renewable integration, heat recovery, and process optimisation. We have set binding internal targets for emission reduction aligned to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) framework.

People. Communities.
Lasting Impact.

Our social responsibility extends beyond the factory gate. We invest in the wellbeing of our workers, the growth of local communities, and programs that create lasting economic and educational opportunity in the Surat textile belt.

Worker Safety & Welfare

Zero-incident culture embedded through regular safety audits, mandatory PPE protocols, ergonomic workstation design, and a grievance redressal system for all shop-floor staff.

Committed to zero lost-time incidents

Women's Skill Development

Structured vocational training in textile operations, quality inspection, and machine maintenance - with preferential hiring of program graduates. A significant portion of our production workforce are women.

Ongoing women's training programs

Local Sourcing Initiative

We prioritise procurement from Surat-region suppliers - yarn, packaging, chemicals, and services. This reduces transport emissions and strengthens the regional textile economy that sustains our community.

Majority local procurement value

Education & Livelihood Programs

Annual scholarship program supporting children of long-serving employees through secondary and technical education. Partnership with NIFT Gandhinagar for internship and placement support.

Scholarships awarded each year
